How can we learn about History?
When we are working as historian's, there are a number of skills that we need to use.
1. We need to be able to order events that we are inquiring into. Within this unit of learning, we are going to use timelines to help to do this.
2. We also need to be able to form questions that help to focus our research.
3. We need to be able to consider historical events from different perspectives. During this unit of learning, we look at the attitudes of Hartog, De Vlamingh and Flinders towards Western Australia. Importantly, we are also going to consider how local Aboriginal people viewed the exploration of Western Australia.
4. Finally, we need to be able to use different sources of information to help us in our inquiry.
